IMEA MedalThis award was established in 1975 to encourage high performing students in Engineering into the local government industry. The criteria set for the award provides that the student can be either following a part time or sandwich course in Civil Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney and must be employed by a local government authority at the time of completing the course. The recipient must also have been working in local government for at least three semesters during the period of the course. The award comprises $500 cash and a medal. It has been the practice in the past to make the presentation during the Annual Dinner and also recognition is made at the UTS. G A Taylor MedalThis medal is presented to the best paper presented at the IMEA - NSW Division Annual Conference.Engineering Excellence AwardsThese awards are sponsored by the Municipal Engineering Foundation and are presented during the Awards Presentation Night held during the NSW Division Annual Conference.
