PERSONNEL COMINGS AND GOINGS
We take this opportunity to welcome a number of
people to the Local Government Road Safety Program.
Ian Gilbert is the new RSO for Culcairn, Urana and
Holbrook Shires. Ian has a background in agriculture and
health. Emily Currie is the new RSO for Narrandera,
Leeton and Murrumbidgee Shires. Emily has previously worked
as an Engineer with Leeton Shire Council.
Ryde Council has appointed Elizabeth Lockwood to the position of
Road Safety Officer. Elizabeth has a background in health promotion.
Harry Hart has resigned from the RSO position at Bourke and Brewarrina.
The councils are currently recruiting to this position.
Rhona Jason-Smith has resigned from Queanbeyan Council to take up a position in South
Western Area Health Service. Rhona was the first RSO in the Southern Region and her
innovation and commitment will be missed both by those who worked with her and those
who benefited from her work. The RSO position at Queanbeyan has been taken up by Joe
Miklosi who has both education and local government experience.
Tom Fisher is the new RSO at Armidale Dumaresq Council. Tom has a background in urban
and regional planning.
Sue Alley has taken a 12 month secondment from the RSO position at Newcastle City
Council and Rob Reynolds is the Acting Road User Safety Manager in the Hunter while
Janet Ball is on leave.
